Child Quick Dashboard — Parent Control & Remote Sync

GreenBridge allows a parent or guardian to set up and control a child's simplified picture-button dashboard from the parent's own phone. Once the parent and child phones are paired, approved changes can be synchronized to the child's Child Quick Dashboard over the Internet.

Easy addresses:
Parent setup: securevault.host/parent
Child Quick PWA: securevault.host/child

1. Set Up the Child on the Parent's Phone

  1. Open securevault.host/parent.
  2. Create or sign in to the Guardian area.
  3. Enter the child profile information you want the dashboard to use.
  4. Select which functions the child is allowed to use.
  5. Tap Save Child Profile.
  6. Tap Save Approvals.

What the Parent Can Control

  • Guardian and backup guardian contacts.
  • School and pickup information.
  • Doctor contact, medication information, medical conditions, and allergy notes.
  • Family safe word and pickup instructions.
  • Maps and saved locations.
  • Movies, games, learning links, YouTube Kids, and approved websites.
  • Which picture buttons appear on the child's Quick Dashboard.

2. Open the Child Quick PWA

  1. On the child's phone, open securevault.host/child.
  2. The first time it opens, the Child Quick Dashboard displays a temporary 8-character pairing code.
  3. Leave that screen open while you return to the parent's phone.
Pairing Code: The code is temporary and expires after approximately 15 minutes. If it expires, reopen or refresh the Child Quick Dashboard to obtain a new code.

3. Pair the Parent and Child Phones

  1. On the parent's Child Channel page, tap the green Remote Sync button.
  2. Enter the 8-character pairing code shown on the child's phone.
  3. Tap Pair Child.
  4. Wait for confirmation that pairing is complete.

After pairing, the child phone receives the dashboard settings approved by the parent. The child does not receive the parent's Guardian login password.

4. Protect the Child Dashboard With a PIN

  1. Open Remote Sync on the parent's phone.
  2. Find Child Dashboard Security.
  3. Turn on Require a PIN to open the child dashboard.
  4. Create a 4–12 digit Child Dashboard PIN.
  5. Choose how long the dashboard may remain unlocked: 15 minutes, 1 hour, 8 hours, or 24 hours.
  6. Tap Save Security.

PIN Protection: When enabled, the child's private dashboard remains hidden until the correct PIN is entered. The PIN is not stored by SecureVault as readable text; the server stores a one-way password hash. Changing the PIN invalidates earlier unlock sessions.

5. What the Child Sees

The Child Quick Dashboard is intentionally simple. It does not contain the parent's setup forms or administrative controls. After unlock, the child sees large picture buttons only for the services approved by the parent.

  • 🚨 Emergency 911
  • 👨‍👧 Call Guardian and 🆘 I Need Help
  • 🚗 Pick Me Up and school functions
  • 🩺 Doctor, 💊 Medication, and ❤️ Medical Info when approved
  • 📚 Learning, 🎮 Games, 🎬 Movies, and 🌐 approved websites when approved
  • 🔐 Safe Word, 📋 Pickup Instructions, maps, and other parent-approved functions
Emergency Access: Emergency 911 remains available from the Child Dashboard lock screen even when the private dashboard itself is locked.

6. Making Changes After Setup

The parent does not need to rebuild the child's PWA each time something changes. Return to securevault.host/parent, change the profile or approvals, and save them. Remote Sync sends the updated settings to SecureVault. The child's PWA checks for updates while it is open and when it returns to the foreground.

  • Turn Games off → Games disappears from the child PWA.
  • Approve Doctor → Call Doctor appears.
  • Change Guardian Phone → Call Guardian and I Need Help use the updated number.
  • Update Medication → the Medication button displays the new information.
  • Update Medical Conditions → Medical Info displays the updated information.

7. If the Child Phone Is Offline

Remote synchronization requires Internet access. If protected synchronized information cannot be retrieved, reconnect the child phone to the Internet and reopen or unlock the Child Quick Dashboard.

8. Unpair a Child Phone

  1. Open Remote Sync on the parent's phone.
  2. Tap Unpair.
  3. The existing synchronization relationship is removed.
  4. The child device will need a new pairing code before it can receive remote information again.

Parent Security Checklist

  • Protect the parent's phone with its normal PIN, fingerprint, face unlock, or other device security.
  • Choose a Child Dashboard PIN that is not easy to guess.
  • Do not share the Child Dashboard PIN with unauthorized people.
  • Review approved websites, games, movies, contacts, and services periodically.
  • Keep guardian, school, doctor, medication, and medical information current.
  • Immediately unpair a lost, replaced, sold, or unauthorized child device.
  • For an actual emergency, call 911 or the appropriate local emergency service directly.
Privacy & Security Notice: Remote Sync may transmit child contact information, school information, guardian information, approved services, safe-word information, medication information, medical-condition information, and other information entered by the parent to the SecureVault server. The synchronization system is designed to use HTTPS, separate device credentials, and encrypted server storage. Parents should enter only information necessary for the child's dashboard and should control access to both the parent and child devices. Technical safeguards alone should not be interpreted as certification of compliance with any particular privacy, healthcare, child-protection, or data-protection law.

Child Remote Sync

Open the Child Quick PWA on the child's phone. Enter its temporary 8-character pairing code below.

Checking secure sync status…

What syncs: saved Child Profile information and guardian approvals. Guardian login credentials are never uploaded.
